Instructions and limits
Adds an AES-256 opening password to an unencrypted PDF. Use a long, unique password. Maximum 127 UTF-8 bytes; line breaks and control characters are not supported. Remove an existing password before changing it.
The document is not converted to images. Passwords and files are not stored on a server. Rewriting may invalidate digital signatures; keep the original.
